open movie in flash

Hey there

I've gat a problem, I'm working in flash mx and I've have made a flash movie that I only want to use on my computer not on the internet, so the sice dosent matter. The flash animations are working perfect but the movies are to big to run on small computers, Is it posible to open them in a nother windows whit real player or quicktime ? (or something else) ? I need to be able to open them in a special place so they will fit in my movie. I hope you can help me. Another question what is the best way to make a flash animation as small as posible. ( Is it nesesery to group all my graphic's will this help ?? )

In Flash it is possible to export for QuickTime, Mov and some more!

But in the most formats, you won´t have any ActionScript! There is only a linear timeline possible.

To smaller your filesize it is necessary to:
work with the library. Copy all images into the library and drag them into the movie.
smaller all jpg´s or gif
use vektorgrafiks, where ever it is possible

maybe work with more movies. So you don´t need to load all scene´s on the begining.

Thanks for the help so far. I forgot to tell that it is a mpg movie I want to open from my flash movie. I have 5 or 6 mpg movies that I want to open from my flash, at first I tryed to import them in to flash mx but the swf files that I exported aftervers are to big for some computers. Is it posible to make a button open a mpg or quicktime movie in a new window ??

If you are in the Webbrowser, it is possible via JavaScript!

If you use the standalone Flashplayer... i don´t know!

It is the "fscommand()" syntax!

With this you can control your FlashPlayer!
Look at your reference guide to get more infos!
