Hey,
da ich gerade von WinXP auf Ubuntu 5.10 umsteige möchte ich meine Thunderbirddaten (Mails, Adressbücher) natürlich auch kopieren!
Die Adressbücher ließen sich auch ganz locker Exportieren/Importieren, aber wenn ich die Ordner mit den Mails&Co. kopiere tut sich dannach nicht mehr viel im Thunderbird, sprich er zeigt mir meine alten Mails nicht an, übernimmt keine Konten, usw. so als hätte ic h die Ordner nie kopiert, ich hab allen Ordnern im Profil-Ordner volle Lese-/Schreibrechte gegeben aber leider hat das auch nix geändert!
Könnte mir bitte jemand helfen meine Mails auf Linux zu importieren und mich somit vom Windows befreien!!

Ich weiß jetzt nicht wie du es angestellt hast, aber zumindest wenn ich von Windows auf Windows kopiere, erstelle ich nach der Installation ganz normal ein Profil (dass dann erstmal leer ist) und kopiere dann dort die Daten vom bestehenden Profil rein.
Hast du das bei deiner Linux-Portierung auch so gemacht oder wolltest du das ganze Profil einfach rüberziehen?

Ich wolltew das ganze Profil einfach kopieren, ein Profil hab ich vorher schon auf Linux erstellt, allerdings nur mit einem der drei Konten die ich hab. Dann hab ich den Profil-Ordner von Windows auf CD gebrannt und wollte ihn am Linux in das Thunderbird-Verzeichniss unter /home/.../.mozilla-thunderbird/.../ reinlopieren! Unter Local-Folder hab ich dann ein paar Ordner gefunden die plötzlich "(wrong encription)" oder so ähnlich im Namen stehen hatten!!!
